Area Equipment Rentals and Sales Celebrates Grand Opening
of New Location in Chesapeake

Chesapeake, VA - Area Equipment Rentals and Sales will celebrate the grand opening of their “new, state of the art facility” in Chesapeake Virginia on October 20, 2011 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Customers, employees and government officials have been invited to attend. Guided property tours and equipment demonstrations are planned.
Located on nearly two acres at 921 Professional Place in Chesapeake’s Greenbrier Industrial Park, the 10,000 sq. ft. facility was formerly the Southeastern Public Service Authority (SPSA) recycling facility. Area Equipment chose this new location to grow and add a full-service parts department and training department. A newly-remodeled showroom will display consumables and small equipment sale items. The larger yard, shop and office space will enable the company to perform customer repairs more efficiently.
“We wanted to be in the heart of the region’s growth center….centrally located, easy access to interstates and points south,” said Sean Jennings, Sales Manager.
“We’re pleased that Chesapeake had the right location and building to allow another Hampton Roads company to expand in our region,” said Chesapeake Mayor Alan P. Krasnoff. “Area Equipment Rental and Sales’ growth is positive news for the company and our community.”
Area Equipment, a locally owned, heavy and light construction equipment rental company, has been in business since March 2006 and has grown to 18 employees. Area Equipment provides top brand names in the equipment rental industry, such as LULL, JLG, Husqvarna/Soff-Cut, Snorkel, John Deere, Stihl and MBW. The company was previously located off Ballentine Road in Norfolk.
